Pour High Impact Manager en français, veuillez cliquer ici. Today's business environment is characterized by constant change. Mergers, acquisitions, increased competition, and currency fluctuations are a few of the key factors influencing rapid commercial change. As a result, managerial skills, which are becoming ever more complex, have become the determining factors in the success of companies. Furthermore, due to the mass retirement of the baby-boomer generation, more and more employees are seeing themselves promoted to managerial positions without having the necessary tools and preparation to deal with the large challenges inherent in such positions. The lack of a capable, qualified workforce puts huge pressure on companies which, in the modern knowledge economy, must entrust their employees with ever greater responsibilities. Such pressure is unnecessary. Human resources could and should be done better. The High Impact Manager program aims to develop managerial skills to enable managers to be capable, confident and effective when carrying out their duties. Training program (10 days) Self-assessment To better develop skills, one has to be aware of one's strengths as well as the areas which demand improvement. By extension, training is only effective if one can determine what needs to be improved and for what reasons. To better evaluate managers, and therefore improve performance, Actualisation makes use of the TRIMA system, a program founded on a skill-based approach that incorporates the three dimensions defining human behaviour: the choices we make, the skills we possess, and the leadership we provide. The TRIMA system efficiently combines a dictionary of skills, questionnaires, and a precise set of tools and strategies that work to establish a system of skill-based management in organizations. After the self-assessment period, managers will be able to better understand and evaluate their levels of competence in areas such as comfort, effort, discomfort, and even panic. Module I : Self-ManagementPositioning yourself as a manager This module was created to enable managers to better know themselves and their place in the work environment. Having finished the initial evaluation period, they can then commence onsite training. In order to find each particular person's place in the work environment, managers have to define their personal values and then build a reference list of collective values for their teams. Other critical topics that will be covered in Module I are exercising authority and assertive managing. In addition, workshops on ethics and resilience will also be given. Resilience, a term synonymous with perseverance and tenacity in the face of adversity, will be worked on so as to heighten one's ability to manage and adapt to change. Module II : SupervisingImproving your technical dexterity This second module enables managers to improve their fundamental managerial skills, namely: planning, organizing, directing, and maintaining control. To these fundamental skills, two more must be added: adapting management style to fit employee needs, and managing priorities. The mastering of these skills that lie at the very heart of management, and the increased ability of managers to use these technical tools allow them to gain the credibility of their teams. Module III : LeadingImproving your ability to manage individuals Whereas the second module enables the manager to establish credibility through technical expertise, this module focuses on challenges of a more relationship-oriented nature. It aims to build the leadership skills needed in the daily management of employees. Such leadership skills include communication, giving and receiving feedback, and providing recognition. Module IV : CoachingImproving your ability to manage the potential of your colleagues Changes in environment, the lack of a qualified workforce, and managing workplace succession are all current challenges that compel managers to act as coach for employees and colleagues. This module focuses on four skills that are crucial to the role of coaching: Counselling, guiding, training, and confronting. Module V : MotivatingImproving your ability to motivate teams In situations when competence alone isn't enough to provide motivational leadership, five key skills come into play: being capable of continuously improving procedures, inspiring a shared vision, getting others to act, leading the way, and encouraging. In this module, participants will also have to diagnose their teams and ensure they can fulfill the role of a High Impact Manager. Duration10 days (7 UEC)
