A proven method for establishing win-win relationships

This training session is a practical and lively introduction to the attitudes and techniques essential to constructive communication at work as well as in your personal life. It is for people who want to create and maintain mutually satisfying interpersonal relationships with their bosses, colleagues, clients, etc. Through exercises and role plays, you will discover how to communicate in a way that fosters collaboration and solves problems.

 1. UNDERSTAND COMMUNICATION DYNAMICS

  • Distinguish others’ behaviours without judging: messages, intentions, needs

  • Identify who owns the problem in a relationship

  • React according to the situation

2. EFFECTIVE ASSERTION

  • Assert yourself without attacking or submitting

  • Express needs in order to elicit respect

  • Say “no” to unacceptable demands

  • Communicate needs in order to prevent conflicts

  • Adapt your work and private lives in order to prevent avoidable conflicts

3. EFFECTIVELY SATISFY YOUR NEEDS

  • Express dissatisfactions in order to effect change

  • Eliminate anger and express true feelings

  • Defuse emotional reactions in order to foster collaboration

  • Manage anxiety in order to confidently confront others

4. LISTEN AND UNDERSTAND OTHERS

  • Avoid messages that block communication

  • Facilitate constructive communication

  • Listen to people so they feel understood

  • Help others solve their problems themselves
