Your role as a manager is changing rapidly. Do you want to transition from a formal boss to a motivating coach to your employees? This training session teaches you how to involve your employees in solving their own problems, notably by encouraging them to surpass themselves.

OBJECTIVES

  1. Adopt attitudes and master techniques essential to being an effective coach 

  2. Recognise the fundamentals of commitment and leadership 

  3. Discover how coaches contribute to the commitment and performance of their employees  

  4. Identify your coaching strengths and areas of improvement  

  5. Experiment with the techniques involved in each step of coaching  

  6. Develop problem solving and performance improvement skills amongst your employees

CONTENT

 1. RECOGNISE THE SPECIAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE COACH

  • Discover how a coach successfully contributes to increased commitment and better performance in the workplace 

  • Define and apply an operational coaching model 

  • Understand the 10 criteria of effective coaching 

  • Foster increased commitment 

  • Identify why certain leaders fail at coaching 

2. PRACTICE THE FOUR COACHING SKILLS: COUNSELING, MENTORING, TUTORING, AND CONFRONTING

  • Counsel: Help team members solve their work-related problems 

  • Mentor: Introduce your team members to the organization’s objectives and values 

  • Tutor: Help your team members obtain the knowledge and skills required to do their jobs well 

  • Confront: Help your team members overcome their difficulties and excel in the workplace

3. INFLUENCE YOUR ORGANISATIONAL CULTURE

  • Design an action plan to successfully apply these skills in your daily work 

  • Direct the organizational culture toward a higher level of commitment

4. USE THE COACHING TECHNIQUES INVOLVED IN EACH STEP OF COACHING

  • Confront to achieve cooperation

  • Defuse emotional reactions

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Any supervisor, coordinator,  or group manager  responsible for ensuring the performance of their colleagues.
To maximize training efficiency, the number of participants is limited to 12 per group.
