Delegation is one of the most important skills used in developing your managerial potential and that of your employees. As a leader, you need to recognize that effective delegation not only increases work efficiency and effectiveness, but also benefits you as a leader.  1. UNDERSTAND WHY TO DELEGATE

  • Develop employee potential: confidence, initiative, motivation, responsibility, autonomy, adaptability, etc. 

  • Structure work and enrich tasks 

  • Turn each colleague into a leader 

2. DETERMINE WHAT TO DELEGATE AND TO WHOM

  • Identify what to delegate and what to do yourself 

  • Determine what responsibility to confer 

  • Choose the right person for each project 

3. APPLY EFFECTIVE DELEGATION TECHNIQUES AND ADOPT THE RIGHT ATTITUDE 

  • Establish clear agreements: mandates, criteria, deadlines, etc. 

  • Determine freedom of action and expected results 

  • Share, choose and undertake responsibilities 

4. EVALUATE AND SUPERVISE COLLEAGUES

  • Provide appropriate support 

  • Ensure appropriate follow-up
