Assessment of behaviour in conflict situations

Instructions

The Assessment of behaviour in conflict situations Questionnaire is a self-assessment tool designed to support your professional and personal development. It will provide you with an overview of the conflict resolution styles you tend to adopt in different situations.

The questionnaire is based on five conflict behavior styles: competing, collaborating, compromising, avoiding and accommodating.

These styles do not represent right or wrong ways to react. Each can be relevant depending on the context. Effective conflict management relies, in particular, on the ability to adjust your approach based on the importance of the desired outcome and the importance you place on the relationship with the other party.

Confidentiality

Your answers are strictly confidential and will be used solely for your development. Your organization will not have access to your individual responses.

Before you begin

Please allow approximately 15 minutes to complete the questionnaire.

Each situation presents two possible answers. Read both statements carefully, then select the one that best represents how you usually act, or how you would be most likely to act in a similar situation.

Answer spontaneously and to the best of your knowledge. There are no right or wrong answers. The questionnaire aims to elicit your usual reactions, not to measure your performance.

When both answers seem plausible, choose the one that most often reflects your behavior. When neither perfectly describes you, choose the one that most closely resembles your usual behavior.

You can now begin your self-assessment.
