Forklift operator trainer Quebec

Our client is looking for a trainer for part-time forklift operators. Schedule adaptable to your availability.

Your duties:

  • Ensure that customers are able to operate our forklifts safely while adapting operator training programs to the health and safety requirements of their work environments. Represent the company with a professional and ethical attitude consistent with our corporate mission and values, and provide the effortless customer experience of learning that will encourage repeat business.


Achieve customer satisfaction goals and build relationships with our customers by taking a positive reinforcement approach to training and maintaining consistent interaction and clear, concise communication. Receive quotes from Operator Training Coordinators for scheduled forklift training sessions. Visit customer sites according to daily schedule and administer classroom theory and hands-on field training. Provide advice to customers on their forklift training requirements. Respond to all relevant customer training requests in person, by email and by telephone. Receive and mark student tests and provide corrective and constructive feedback. Manage personal file of training material and student scores. Analyze customer site work environment and determine best approaches to forklift use. Follow-up with customers after their training sessions to uncover any questions or concerns and determine if additional training is required. Provide information on potential sales leads to Operator Training Sales Representatives.Assist management in any continuous improvement initiatives, including providing customer feedback that will assist in the development and effectiveness of new training programs. Submit verified invoices for processing and payment to the Sales Coordination Department.

What you have to offer

  • 1 to 2 years' experience in training and development
  • Minimum 1 year CEGEP/diploma/certificate in training, health and safety, electrical equipment practical and theoretical.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and comprehension skills, both verbal and written
  • Enjoys educating people and transferring knowledge to others
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Willing to learn new skills on a regular basis, both on and off the job
  • Able to understand customer problems / requirements
  • Able to work well as part of a team, yet able to work independently
  • Strong attention to detail

Salary offered: between $25 and $27/hour

Guaranteed hours: 20 hours/week minimum.

Linguistic requirements: Bilingual - Intermediate English*.

*The frequency and complexity of interactions require the use of English from time to time, particularly as these exchanges occur from time to time with customers and suppliers located outside Quebec.

Benefits:

25 to $27 per hour + full fringe benefits

Mileage reimbursed: $0.63/km and all work equipment provided (IPad - IPhone - projector)

Availability: Daytime from 8am to 5pm - Monday to Friday, weekends occasionally - Schedules made according to customer requests or needs and the candidate's schedule.
