
The press operator in the printing department will be required to operate a state-of-the-art, automated 10-color flexographic printing press on a daily basis. Their main responsibilities are to ensure the settings and adjustments of the press in order to provide prints that meet customer requirements and high-quality standards. The person will be required to work in an environment governed by HACCP and food safety standards in a system that imposes rigorous work procedures.
Key functions
Read the work order (order), note the specific features, check the availability of the necessary equipment and coordinate the work with the assistants.
Ensure the installation of the equipment in the press (anilox, fountains, blades, hoses, cylinders, ink)
Adjust and configure the settings of the printing press.
Make the necessary adjustments according to the parameters and specific features of the work order (order).
Ensure ink balancing (viscosity and other parameters) throughout the printing process.
Monitor the quality of the printed film according to established standards.
Keep your work environment clean, safe and organized at all times.
Experience; minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience as an operator in the printing industry or related training.
Very competitive hourly wage, based on your experience.
This position is on a 3-2-2-3 schedule (36-48 hours) and is at night from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. You are paid 12 hours per day (this includes 2 breaks of 15 minutes and 30 minutes for lunch). $2.00 per hour premium for the night shift + $1.50 when you work the weekend (Saturday-Sunday).
