1. Plan a training course

  • Specify the goals and objectives of the training to be delivered

  • Structure the training in coherent and progressive modules

  • Design competency assessment activities

2. Facilitate learning

  • Present content effectively
  • Use a variety of communication and presentation methods
  • Questioning to verify learning
  • Facilitate hands-on training
  • Effectively use the presentation environment, layout and materials
  • Evaluate learning

3. Encourage participation

  • Establish constructive communication and a collaborative atmosphere
  • Apply checking and prompting techniques
  • Provide constructive criticism

4. Effectively assist a participant

  • Observe the signs and indicators of problems in participants
  • Distinguish between problem and request
  • Understand and use the different processes of help and assistance
  • Encourage and show appreciation
  • Avoiding messages that devalue
  • Solve a rational difficulty and overcome an emotional one

Anyone who wishes to lead training courses where participants are active and engaged, guide their interventions with precision and skill, present dynamic sessions.
