University professional certification in Inclusive Leadership – issued by the Faculty of Continuing Education at the Université de Montréal

Does your leadership foster respect and inclusion among your team members? Are you familiar with best practices in equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility? Do you consider yourself an inclusive leader? Which behaviors promote or hinder the inclusion of your team members?

This unique program, developed in partnership with the Faculty of Continuing Education at the Université de Montréal, aims to build cross-functional inclusive leadership skills through a positive, practical approach that prioritizes meaningful engagement with others rather than purely theoretical learning. The methods used include asynchronous e-learning modules, experience sharing, and peer learning.

Duration : 14 hours of training and 6 hours dedicated to self-directed learning and evaluation.

Objectives

Content

Pre-training activities

Before the program begins, participants complete a questionnaire, follow short e-learning modules (EDIA, unconscious bias, transversal skills), and take part in a kick-off meeting.

Module 1 – My inclusive leadership

Discover the foundations of inclusive leadership, clarify your values, identify your strengths and areas for development, and learn to recognize your biases.
Activities: group discussions, self-awareness exercises, questionnaire analysis.

Module 2 – Meeting others

Learn how to build authentic, trust-based relationships, adopt inclusive communication practices, and avoid common pitfalls (inaction, overprotection, tokenism, etc.).
Activities: guided reflections, living library, peer learning.

Module 3 – Myself and my organization

Analyze your organizational practices, draw inspiration from real-life cases, and develop a concrete action plan to strengthen equity and diversity in your workplace.

Module 4 – Capstone activity

Share your projects, consolidate your learning, and leave with a certification that recognizes your new inclusive leadership skills.
